All 5 tons of supplies finally reach trapped family

Despite numerous obstacles, the A. family finally succeeded yesterday to transport the last of the supplies sent them from Israel at the beginning of the week (in total, HaMoked provided them with 5 tons of food and water). They carried some of the supplies to another trapped family nearby. The families now have enough supplies for a week.to last them a week. (HaMoked)

Shelling of medical and evacuation teams: Jabalya city, 12.1.09; Zeitun neighborhood, 12.1.09;

At about 17:00 five ambulances of the Medical Relief, UHWC and the Palestinian Ministry of Health set out to evacuate injured people from a residential building in Jabalya city, which was hit by five missiles. In a press conference held today, 9 Israeli human rights organizations called on the government and army to respect the laws of war and stop disproportionate harm to civilians. Testimony: Shelled house goes up in flames, burning occupants inside

On 4 Jan., the Israeli army shelled a home in Beit Lahiya. Ghadah Abu Halima reported that the house went up in flames and five of its occupants burned to death, four of them children. As the survivors made their way to hospital, soldiers fired at them. (B'Tselem)
